Salon des Refusés 2012

REFUSÉ DU SALON DES REFUSÉS... HAhAha... Following the tradition of the 19th century Parisian Salon des Refusés, when Napoleon III let rejected works be exhibited alongside accepted ones after artists protested the Salon jury's rejection of 3000 works, Happenstance Gallery is organising an exhibition of paintings, graphic and mixed media works, photographs and prints rejected by the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.

Monet, Renoir, Degas, Whistler and Cezanne all exhibited at the 19th century Salon ( and the Impressionist movement was born)...Who
knows what we'll find in 2012!
